I can’t be the only person who can’t stand it when a command spews a load of blinking text onto my screen.
Have you ever been annoyed when looking at the output of git diff when you notice that columns don’t line up properly when comparing text files that mix the use of tabs and spaces?
If you use a prompt which begins with a colon and ends with a semi-colon, you can cut and paste entire lines which requires much less eye-hand co-ordination.
This one will most obviously be deleted at some point as it is a completely pointless post.
